Electroweak Penguin Decays of <i>b</i>-Flavored Hadrons

In the past decade, electroweak penguin decays have provided a number of precision measurements, turning into one most competitive ways to search for New Physics that describe beyond Standard Model phenomena. An overview measurements made at $B$ factories and hadron colliders are given experimental methods presented. Experimental required provide further insight present indications discussed.

Recent branching fraction and asymmetry results of Electroweak Penguin B decays from BaBar, Belle and CLEO experiments are reviewed. While these branching fractions are consistent with the Standard Model expectations and are being used to extract heavy quark model parameters and CKM matrix elements, the asymmetry results are just becoming sensitive to observe any new physics effects.
